How do I scan a receipt?+
From the home screen, tap the scan button and point your camera at the receipt. PayMeLah uses AI to read the items and prices automatically. You can edit anything it gets wrong before splitting.
What is PayNow and how does settling work?+
PayNow is a Singapore payment service that lets you send money instantly using a mobile number. In PayMeLah, you can add your PayNow number or upload your PayNow QR code in Settings. When someone owes you, they can pay directly to your PayNow.
Can I split an item equally between multiple people?+
Yes. When assigning items in the assign screen, select the split option for that item and choose which participants share it equally.
What happens when I mark a settlement as complete?+
The balance between you and that person is updated. You can view all settled and pending balances on the Balance tab.
How do I delete my account?+
Go to Settings β†’ Delete Account. Type DELETE to confirm. This permanently removes your account, payment profile, QR code, groups, and all receipts you created.
Is PayMeLah available on Android?+
PayMeLah is currently iOS only. Android support is on our roadmap.
My receipt did not scan correctly. What should I do?+
Make sure the receipt is flat, well-lit, and fully in frame. After scanning you can manually edit any item name or price before confirming.
